sometimes i can't help but wonder..
how come we can put in so much effort to do smth for someone,
and yet,
that someone doesn't do the same for us.
i guess life is abt give and take,
and there can nvr be a full balance btw both things;
the balance always tips towards one end.
i shld learn to have ZERO expectations of anyone but myself.
that way,
i won't get so disappointed time and time again - i'll get more surprises. (:

went to my granduncle's house ytd.
at bishan.
haha.
SO MANY ppl were there when we arrived.
almost all my paternal cousins were there. (:
but there was one family missing. ):
nvm they'll be able to celebrate cny nxt yr.
hope they're coping well. (:
grandaunt can't seem to rmb my name!
hahaha.
and.
i have a new baby cousin!!
really adorable when she slps.
ahaha.
her name is si ya i think. (:
she was born on 23 jan!!
same birthday as SERENE!!
HAHAHA.
i was quite wowed by that fact.
anw granduncle's house is like a food haven or smth.
there was just SO MUCH to eat there.
plus the once a year homemade red dates tea.

though we didn't talk much,
we watched ard the world in 80 days tgt.
funny movie.
HAHA.
to me, being there tgt is alr good enough.
feel the familial warmth. (:

i think my relatives are coming over to my house on sun.
the day before the math test.
which i totally haven't studied for.

went to amk hub to meet BFF and FAITH for brunch.
like omg.
aft 173876437629 times of arranging to meet we FINALLY got to do so.
cos smth would crop up everytime. xP
lunched at the hk cafe.
the food is nice!!

had a really longggggggg chat with these two at the cafe.
esp abt our mums.
seems that i'm not the only one with a mum prob.

the playground across the road is still the same.
but they changed the swings and see-saw to modern ones.
the sweet memories they bring. (:

it's amazing that the lullaby is still playing today,
the whole thing was made in korea, not china. (:
i guess the bear just reminds me of you.
cos you were and still are a significant part of my life;
3 years on and i still miss you like crazy.
you'll always be in my heart.
i'll always love you.

i've lost count of the number of times that i felt like just giving up..
and just walking away from it all.
but through all those tears of frustration, stress, or anger,
i'm reminded of the good memories which were created with all those ppl there,
the countless, precious memories.
these memories keep me going and pull me back to sanity.
and of course,
i dun wanna be an irresponsible person.
this is a commitment to be upheld.
i need to be strong.

today was kinda bad in terms of lessons.
i actually fell aslp for a short while during lit lect.
heh.
and chem remedial was just draining.
i think having close to 3h of lect for the same sub in one day is totally USELESS.
cos nth goes in anymore when we're all so sleepy or restless or tired by the end of the day.
thankfully this tcher saved us and stopped the chem remedial.
we were all dying.
like seriously.

choir was...
crazy.
and for some reason we couldn't get our notes right today.
the altos were totally lost and lagging behind during combined.

didn't take height and weight during pe.
will do so on thu.
ran 3 rounds and kinda trained a little for napfa.
i've got LOTS of training to do.

first was the econs break with KRIS. (:
had fun chatting with her as usual.
and we were laughing over the lit bk..
and getting grossed out at the same time.

next was the long lunch break with BFF.

went to amk's banquet.

and we had our usual bubble tea.
caught up with her on the happenings in life.
miss talking to her!!
aft math rememdial was studying with CHIWEI HUIHUI and STM PART.

despite all the talking and the erhem,
SINGING,
i managed to almost complete my lit assign!!
the one which i was supposed to complete during the hols.

it's only been the first week into sch and we're all feeling pressurized alr.
kinda like stress is building up at the speed of light.

-new math tcher
i think he's a good tcher though he may be sacarstic at times.
ppl including other tchers say that he can be reallyreallyREALLY fierce.
we haven't seen that side of him yet.
hope we nvr have to.
-new lit tchers
one of them really looks like a chinese tcher to me..
and i was really amused by that.
HAHA.
oops.
the other one is a little long-winded but ok i guess.
-5 new classmates
2 of whom take lit tgt with KRIS and i.
just the right nunber of ppl to do all those lit projects.
HAHA. (:
-new register number
it jumped from 20 last year to 14 now.
xP
-flag-raising at 0830 on mon wed fri; no flag-raising on tue and thu
weird arrangement huh.
we had to run [literally] for flag-raising the other day cos lit ended late.
dun like the feeling of having to run for flag-raising on mon wed and fri if lessons end late.
tsk.
-KRIS takes h1 econs now
so we get to spend time tgt during those periods when the rest of 22 is having econs!!
long talks and many more to come.
miss talking to this girl!!

ok so i didn't die today.
had 6h of lessons non-stop instead of 7 cos lit remedial ended early.
thank you ms victor for letting KRIS and i eat during your lesson.
if not i'll have died.
i was half dead anw.
brain dead.
6h of lessons is totally draining.
spent 13h in sch today.
lessons then choir.
chem test is screwed.
i mixed up all the eqns for the last qn.

i'm just hoping to pass it.

it's almost 10 and i haven't had dinner.
all the hw is piling over my head.
it seems that everyone is so demanding all of a sudden.

I HATE TMR'S TIMETABLE.

excuse me i'm not some robot,
i'm only human.
the best thing is that there's choir aft that all the way until 8.

ok i didn't make a mess of myself at the wake ytd.
but normally i'd cry as soon as i see the person's lifeless body in the coffin.
deaths are scary. ):
the wake ytd was actually kinda a blessing in disguise.
it brought the whole family tgt.
saw my two eldest cousins from my paternal side..
whom i have not seen in YEARS.
two cousins are graduating from uni this year.
one's going to be a doc and one an engineer.
wow.
another cousin just got her o lvl results ytd.
she got 11 pts. (:
she may be coming to ny.
she was drowning me in qns abt ny.
haha.
the most shocking thing was that i found out that i'm related to this tcher in ny..
so near and yet so far.
but we dunno each other. xP
my family seems to have an affinity with nyjc.
heh.
one of my cousins was from ny previously..
then me..
that tcher relative..
and now my this other cousin's coming to ny.
open house today.
my cousin came but i didn't have time to meet her or to show her ard.

but she said she likes ny.
haha.
choir had two performances.
the first was horrendous. xP
the second was a whole world of difference.
we actually sounded good for the second one. xD
thank you to the j3s who came to support us!! (:
had a great time with the choir ppl today. (:
met BFF!! xD
and she sat on my lap for awhile before her perf.
HAHA.
poor girl had to perf alone while the others had partners cos her dance partner couldnt make it at the last min.

this morn i kinda jolted awake.
and no matter how hard i tried to get back to slp aft that,
i just couldn't.
it's like there was this thing nagging at me on the inside..
telling me that smth had happened.
my third aunt called mum while i getting ready for sch..
saying that first aunt was in a very critical condition.
and only when i got home at 3 and called my mum did i realise that first aunt had passed away this morn.
i was a little angry that my mum didnt call me to tell me earlier..
but i guess it's cos the adults needed time to settle all the stuff.
now i'm waiting for mum to get home before we go for the wake.
i alr feel like crying right now..
think i'll make a mess of myself later.
dear God,
i pray that you'll enable my aunt's family to cope with their loss..
and to help them to move on in life.
i pray that you'll continue to watch over my aunt,
wherever she is right now.
i choose to believe that she went to heaven;
and that she's in a much happier place right now.
while she may not be in our midst anymore,
Thank You for this sixth guardian angel.

i feel like throwing my house phone away.
it's causing so many unnecessary disputes.

this aside..
there's many things to be happy abt. xD
1. I GOT MY CONCESSION BACK!!
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((:
although i had to queue for almost 40min for it..
cos today's the first day the adults can go to the ticket offices to exchange their ez-links for the new ones.
anw i was playing my hp game in an attempt to entertain myself.
and later i got free entertainment.
from this little girl who's only 3.
she was singing to me.
HAHAHAHAHAHA.
she sang twinkle twinkle little star, 三只老虎 and some 朋友 song to me.
and she was like trying to offer me her hello panda biscuits.
HAHAHA.
her ah ma is super cute too. xD
I MISS ISABEL!! ): [the 8 yr old girl from my korea trip.]
2. we took a choir photo on tue!!
the open house rehearsal was ok i guess. (:
sadly we're not allowed to wear polo tees nxt tue.
i kinda like the effect.
the COLOURS.

3. the immersion programme on wed was FUN!!
the 10 of us had fun being gamemasters. xD
nychoir's very own treasure hunt. (:
was really amusing seeing all those possibly future nyjc-ians doing all those tasks.
some which were really HILARIOUS.
laughs evilly.
i like the task which the ppl have to spin 5 rounds ard the bottle and then walk across this straight line made out of masking tape. (:
4. i can't wait for tmr!! (:
5. going to dunman high/sec [most probably sec.] on mon to give out flyers with 11 other classmates.
i dunno why i'm looking forward to this.
HAHAHA.
guess it's cos there's no lessons.
and it's the first time they're getting ALL the classes to be involved in this flyer giving thing.
yup. (:
6. open house on tue!!
hope we'll really sing well and impress the potential nyjc-ians.
HAHA. (:
and i'm looking forward to seeing the j3s or other ex choir members on that day.
hope more ppl will come back to visit. (:
NO LESSONS AGAIN.

nychoir will be performing at 1030 and 1300 on tue!! (:
7. been hooked onto moonlight resonance.
this hk drama.
the sequel to heart of greed. (:
8. managed to sort of study intro to organic chem on wed and alkanes ytd.
been AGES since i've touched any sch work. xP
i've been a bad girl.
haha.
9. went to the gym again just now. (:
managed to run my normal distance this time.
yay!! xD
i'm quite thankful to crescent for forcing us to run twice a week during all those mass runs.
it was actually kinda fun running and saying hi to all those tchers we know stationed along the way. (:
HAHA.
though i didn't really appreciate the mass runs back then, i really do so now. (:
cos at least i dun hate running.
I MISS CRESCENT.
10. choir prac today was great FUN!! (:
mr cheow made us stand in a circle..
with someone from another sect standing beside you on both sides.
singing tgt like this was really awesome!!
though all of us kinda got confused with others' parts.
HAHA.
but it'll really build up your confidence..
cos you have only YOURSELF to depend on. (:

BYEEEEEEEEEEEE STUPID THING.

no more scolding myself for forgetting to take it everytime. (:
12. i have learnt that i must count my blessings and stop harping on the unhappy things in life.
cos there's bound to be ups and downs everyday.
my life isn't smooth sailing.
i realised that when i was 9.

im tired..
went to the gym to run just now.
couldn't run my normal distance. ):
guess its cos it's been almost 3 wks since i last ran.
tsk.
ytd's shopping trip was a total disaster on my part.
i dunno what was wrong with me.
sat afternoon was spent playing bball with BFF and her class ppl.
xD
seized the chance to play with them although it was super random..
cos i dunno when i'll be able to play bball with sucha big grp of ppl again.
managed to get a few balls in. xD
went to her house after that.
watched 2 episodes of moonlight resonance with BFF and her mum. (:
it's niceeeee!
thus i watched 3 eps today.
procrastination. xP
had choir on fri.
BFF JAC MX ZQ came to visit!!
super random of them.
haha.
but it was really nice to see all of them again. (:
lunched with AMANDA BUDDY JEANETTE STM PART YL aft that.
