yes i'm back from hk and macau.
haha.
hmm the trip wasn't entirely enjoyable.
but macau was great!!
love the hotel we stayed at.
the venetian macau.
our room was HUGE.

the gondola ride was FUN.
haha. xD
one day i will go to the real venice to ride the real gondola.

learnt seasons of love and only you.

but too bad the altos dun get to sing the melody for only you.

i slept like a dead log last night.
and i feel reallyreally refreshed now.
haven't slept so well in ages.
though it was only for a short 7h.
(:
been busybusybusy.
haha.
sat was spent outside shopping with my mum.
and now i have NEW MOON to read.
xD
shall try to finish reading it before i come back to singapore.
sun was awesome!! (:
met up with SHIP and TWINIE aft i dunno how long.
it's quite rare for the 3 of us to meet up.
lunched at crystal jade.
love all the food we ordered. xD
exchanged small presents again. (:
TWINIE had to leave at 3 so we accompanied her to wait for her bus at the esplanade bus stop.
her bus took ages to come. xP
aft that SHIP and i headed back to marina sq where she continued shopping for clothes.
cos apparently, she has run out of clothes to wear.
HAHAHA.
went to the esplanade and got the HUGEEEE white ball.
those where you can write your wishes for the new yr and they'll throw it into the singapore river.
left SHIP to do all the writing.
hahaha.
was nice spending time chatting with her. (:
sitting by the singapore river and chatting makes me happy.

and we went to sit by the singapore river to chat while waiting for FAITH.

though its a little spoilt by all the construction going on on the opp shore.
FAITH came and we walked to the singapore flyer.
just to have dinner at popeyes.
the queue was atrocious.
HAHA.
but dinner was good. (:
we wanted to get a white ball aft tt so we went back to the esplanade.
but they ran out of them.

headed to raffles city cos FAITH wanted to go to a bookstore.
took a bus home aft that.
first time i took a bus home from raffles.
haha.
ytd was spent with 5 choristers.

went to vivo to watch twilight.
and omg.
the movie was a total disappointment.
if you didn't read the book.
you would be thinking what in the world is going on in the movie.
cos it's just too abrupt.
there's no flow to the story.
dun watch it if you dun want to be disappointed.
yeah.
went to the arcade with BUDDY and STM PART while the other three went shopping.
we played so many stupid games.
HAHAHA.
kinda embarrassing ourselves there.
heh.
but it was all FUN. xD
met up with the rest aft an hour.
and we went to candy empire tgt.
everything there was just so tempting!!
bought caramelised cookies.
yay. xD
i just realised.

i have no idea where to start!!
haha.
shall start with the first day i guess.
we reached seoul incheon airport early.
so the tour guide gave us time to roam around.
my mum and i bought donuts and just sat down to eat.
dunkin' donuts! (:
chomps.
yes i'm a sadist. [and proud of it. HAHA. (:]
went to kimpo domestic airport next for our flight to jeju island.
1 hour flight.
then we went somewhere for lunch.
the view there is splendid!
next stop was mysterious road.
where vehicles and objects seem to roll uphill.
and it seems easier to go uphill than to go downhill.
but the tour guide told us that it's an illusion.
that actually it's downhill but the human eye is too weak to see that.
haha.
then we went to see a lava formation called the yongduam dragon rock.
love the scenery there too!!
this place is near to the jeju int'l airport.
thus the plane.
haha.
think it's a korean airlines one.
the women in the background are selling fresh seafood.
fresh from the sea.
these women dun use any equipment at all when the dive into the sea to get all the seafood.
and they dive no matter how cold or hot the weather is.
i take my hat off them.

i realise that in the last pic you can see my tour guide beckoning to some ppl from my tour grp to try the seafood there.
HAHAHA.
he's a really funny guy.
that pretty much wraps up my first day in korea.
(:
OH YEAH.
the flight from singapore to seoul was SCARY.
the turbulence was really bad.
the plane actually dipped a few feet..
and ppl really screamed.
i was just too stunned and shocked.
nvr was any flight to anywhere else so scary.
roar.
my first taste of korean airlines.
and my last would be the flight back to singapore.
never am i taking it again if possible.
cos it's turbulence almost all the way.
and the flight wasn't short mind you.
6 hours of fright.

met BUDDY MEIXUAN WANLING there.

my first few friends from nychoir.
love them loads!! (:
all of us except for BUDDY then headed to the chalet.
reached the room and i was immediately dragged out by STM PART to go and buy stuff with all the rest who were alr there.

went to the ntuc at ehub to get stuff.
and omg.
11 bottles of drinks.
HAHA.
STM PART and i ended up eating at nyny while waiting for the rest.
JESS came not long after.
went back to the chalet.
headed to pasir ris park with JESS to find BFF and the rest cos they were kite-flying there!!
haha.
all of us got to fly kites for the first time.
BFF's fireworks.
HAHA.
and THERESA's dino and dino2.
kite-flying is fun!! xD
the weather was really good for kite-flying that day.

took me a lot of determination to run my normal.

i am reallyreally extremely tired..
and i can't get a decent rest at all..
not that i dun want to.
i'm finding it increasingly harder to keep up with everything by the day.
i dunno how i am supposed to please everyone.
i wish there was a sensible solution to this..
and that i can make everyone understand..
but i just can't..
cos i dunno how to..
unless there's like 100 hours a day or smth..
or that i can split myself to be at many different places at once..
all these won't ever happen.
and i can't get a decent rest at all..
not that i dun want to.

i'm back from KOREA!!
haha.
there's so much to say.
i dunno where to begin.
xP
it seems that so much has happened when i wasn't ard.
anw thank you for all the bon voyage msgs before i left!!
thanks to AMANDA BFF BUDDY FAITH FISH JEANETTE KRIS TWINIE STM PART YANGLING and YUANXI.

hmm..
i miss the kids in my tour grp!!
miss playing with them..
playing with them and talking to them made me feel like i have siblings for once.
smth which i'll never get to have..
smth which i'll never really get to experience.
yeah.
it was fun carrying an 8 yr old and swinging her around in my arms.
haha.
she's so cute and playful.
and super friendly.
her siblings are friendly too. (:
got to experience another kind of care which i miss so much..
but i know that you're with us wherever we go..
but it's just different..
in a way.
i'd like to recap everything that happened in korea here..
but my memory is failing me.
HAHA.
i have stm.

and talk abt that thing on the pic.
so it'll be bit by bit. (:

no more having to wash my hands with ice cold water.
no more having to wear long johns.
no more frequent static shocks.
no more funny tour guide.
no more nice coach drivers.
no more kids to play with.
no more beautiful natural scenery.
no more hot springs.
no more warm water swimming pools.
no more steam boat. [i'm seriously sick of it.]
no more having to eat pork for every meal.
no more super sweet and seedless jeju island oranges.
no more mountains.
no more moutain-climbing.
no more black sand. [i'm serious!! haha.]
no more super sweet and caring fathers. [ok only some ppl will get this.]
no more hanbok to wear.
no more having to rush after bathing. [it's freezing so you'll be more than ready to jump straight into your clothes straight aft bathing.. but you have to dry yourself first dun you? haha.]
no more negative temperatures outside.
no more ...
this list could go on forever.

i've been feeling really lazy lately..
thus the lack of posts.
haha.
ytd was a super busy day.
went to sch in the morn for choir.
was a little sleepy cos i slept at 2 the day before.
xP
but yeah as usual we laughed a lot. (:
lunched with JEANETTE XY YL STM PART aft choir.
at the prata shop.
love their food!!
haha. xD
XY and YL were heading to little india..
so they left for the mrt station.
the other 3 of us were deciding where to go nxt..
decided to go to citylink so we walked to the station too.
met those 2 plus GABRIEL on the train.
haha.
JEANETTE STM PART and i ended up at orchard after that.
wisma shaw house far east.
been ages since i've been to all those places.
haha.
both girls went home aft that.
while i went to nsc.
had to wait for half an hour to collect the medicine.
xP
i could hear many impatient sighs from all the ppl waiting there too.
i was trying my best not to fall aslp.
lest i miss my queue number.
HAHA.
rushed home to change.
and i left for westmall.
the train ride was shorter than i thought.
still quite long though.
for 12 stops.
the green line is definitely much faster.

LOOK AT THE TIME.
haha.
just got home at close to midnight.
went to meet my mum at marina sq.
had dinner at xin wang cafe..
then we went to catch bolt.
by the time the movie started it was alr close to 10.
if i had counted the number of adverts they showed..
i think it'd add up to abt 20.

the movie was hilarious!! (:
there was this part which was super touching and i almost cried.
haha.
bolt's truly a superdog in the end. xD

initially we wanted to study in sch.
but it was so hot that we decided to study at amk lib.
settled down at the cafe cos we couldn't find a vacant table.
KRIS wasn't feeling well so she left..

then we lunched at pepperlunch. xD
the honey red tea with jelly which he intro-ed to me was really nice too.

we try so hard to 'be like the rest',
to save ourselves from being outcasted or ostracized.
cos afterall,
who doesn't want to be accepted by the majority?
in the midst of trying so hard to fit in,
we lose ourselves.
slowly,
but surely.
sometimes i feel that i'm a stranger to myself,
that i dunno who i am anymore.
the angela back in kindergarten is worlds apart from the angela of today.
i wonder if i'll ever be able to pick up the pieces of myself which i've left behind over the years..
it'll be quite amazing if really do manage to do that.

sometimes i still can't help but feel like a misfit.
like i dun belong.
that i'm just different.
that i'm not supposed to be there in the first place.
that i belong to the other side.
that no matter how hard i try,
i still won't belong.
but i won't try too hard to fit in,
cos i know it'll just backfire.
i still feel the pinch sometimes..
that regret..
being caught btw two ppl ytd sparked it off again.

since this is the path i chose..

Thank God that the mumbai attacks have come to an end.

though that may take a very long time indeed..

it's good that the protests in bangkok are coming to a closure too.
i really hope that everything will go back to normal again.

went to sch for choir.
there were only 9 of us!! xP
oh here's the AWESOME NEWS i was talking abt in my other post..
we have a new choir conductor!!
mr gabriel cheow.
he's only 21!!
and he looks our age.
totally.
so he can totally click with us as we're on the same wavelength.

[i still can't really believe that he's only 3 yrs older than me!! HAHA.]
i like the way he teaches us the choral techniques..
and he's just AWESOME.

he totally reminds me of my amath/emath tuit tcher back in sec sch!!

ended up buying A LOT of other things.

then we headed to bedok mrt to meet JAC.
ate breakfast at the market while waiting for JAC.

almost immediately aft we got there.

rented bikes and we cycled awayyyy.
i LOVEEEEE the slopes!! xD
love the feeling of the wind in my hair when i go down them. (:

ok minus the going up part.
there's this super steep slope after the bougainvillea garden part.
almost died going up.
hahaha.
ppl actually stopped ON TOP of the slope.
heh.
we cycled till there was no more track.
only the road to changi beach.
and a signboard said 7990m to changi beach.
i was thinking omg.
cos STM PART said she cycled all the way there the other time during her class outing.

we stopped over at the food centre for drinks.
it was so HOT that day.
the sky actually threatened to rain on us.
but it didn't in the end. (:
BFF and i felt some rain drops though.
haha.
had satay and chicken wings for lunch by the seaside.
the view was just so captivating. xD
there was this guy who used this parachute-like thing to go surfing..
and he had so many stunts which left us awe-struck.
hahaha.
he was really amazing on the water..
and in air.
